As a closure for my first residency at the Story Garden, I gathered 6 profesional dancers and friends who generously accepted the proposal of using movement to interact with the garden, and to have as a start point both the movement that is already present in the garden, and the sensorial experience that can accessed through the body. We created a score that we performed at the event ‘The Path Beneath Us’. 

The score begins with us taking some time to go on a little journey around the garden, following our curiosity, and explore through the senses the space in which we are immersed. We will be trusting the fact that as we move around the garden, we are following or tracing a path, and that there are multiple path and paths that interconnect and join inevitably. After a certain time, we also have the option to respond to the space with movement, and simply let the body go. Finally, there is the option of witnessing someone else, and immersing yourself in their exploration.

The audience was encouraged to follow one dancer, to witness or join their movement, as well as to contemplate the dance in the space and simply rest.
