While indulging in physical resistance, I meet multiple surfaces, and I use my body as a territory for encounter. I decide to touch the space and reach for a relying wall through soft movement and a disoriented verticality. This piece is a journey towards the marginal edges of a room, exploring how movement also belongs to the creases of the space.

The exercise was born from the desire to transpose the sensitivity and curiosity of interacting with outdoor and natural spaces into an urban setting. While performing this piece in clubs and moving against rough structures, the skin confronts the textured and decayed outer layers of places. This exploration through touch and movement serves as a study on the dancer’s practice, a process of of intuitively sensing the tangible which then permeates us.
